KOMPANY RETURNS
Vincent Kompany might feature for Manchester City in their next Premier League game against West Ham United which is going to be played at Upton Park on Saturday.
Kompany had suffered a thigh injury while playing in the game against Everton 10 days back and initially, it was believed that he would need a month to get back to full fitness, but, his recovery has been fast that what was expected and he is set to be back in action.
However, if Kompany doesn’t recover completely for the match against West Ham, the Argentinean defender Martin Demichelis might get the opportunity to make his debut for City.
Demichelis had signed for City on the last day of the pre-season transfer window. City had bought him from the Spanish club Atletico Madrid at a transfer fee of 3.5 million Pounds. He had been suffering from knee injury, but, since the last few days, he has started to train again, and could be ready for a return. According to the home of football betting specials, he is in line for a place in the starting line up.
Besides Kompany’s fitness, there is some more good news for City ahead of the game against West Ham. Sergio Aguero has come back from national duty earlier than expected.
Argentina has made its way into the World Cup finals already and because of that, the Argentina boss Alex Sabella gave Aguero the permission to return to his club before the match against Uruguay.
City’s another vital player, Yaya Toure, has also returned to the club. Toure had gone to feature for his national side Ivory Coast in the World Cup qualifying playoff match against Senegal. Ivory Coast ended up winning that match.
Manchester City is currently at no. 5 in the Premier League points table. Out of their 7 games so far, they have won 4 games and have lost 2. One match was a draw.
